Commission Types

My main commission types are listed below. I offer specific types on VGen or Ko-Fi and prefer hosting my art commissions through those sites. Custom inquiries may be made through my DMs or by email.

Illustrations

My illustrations are expressive character portraits drawn in a painterly style. They focus on gesture and the overall feel of a scene. I have the most experience with fantasy characters, creatures, and stylized pet portraits.
$30 USD an hour.

Portrait Size Guide
Bust - Cropped from the shoulders up.
Half Body - Cropped from the waist up.
Full Body - Entire character in frame.
Full Scene - Entire character placed within a detailed background.

Conceptual Art

My concept art pieces are character reference sheets in a loose sketchy style. I portray the character's design and personality through static and dynamic poses. I take artistic liberties and ask for creative freedom with these.
$40 USD an hour.

Reference Sheet Elements (Includes a mix of the following)
Static Turn Around (front, side, back)
Expression Busts (3-6 chosen emotes)
Dynamic Pose (includes minor scenery)
Key character detail or prop (tattoo, weapon, accessories)

Terms of Service

General information and rules regarding my digital art commissions.

  • By commissioning me, you agree to my Terms of Service.

  • I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a commission at any time.

  • The client must maintain professional conduct throughout the commission process. Disrespectful or otherwise inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Failure to comply with the ToS will result in the commissioned art being discontinued without refund at my discretion. I will not work with you again if this happens.

Payment

  • I charge $30 USD an hour for illustration pieces and $40 USD an hour for concept art pieces.

  • Special discount offers or set commission types such as Your Character Here's, Stylized Bust Portraits, Live Drawings, and more will often have their own set price listed.

  • For commission requests hosted on VGen or Ko-Fi, the price and payments will be displayed and paid through those sites. I prioritize requests hosted on these sites.

  • For custom commission inquiries, I require the commission to be paid up-front through a PayPal invoice. CashApp or Venmo may also be used.

  • I will give you an estimated time frame and cost for your request based on past work I have done. It may not always be exact.

  • If you're working on a budget, you can request a payment plan. I will only complete as much of the work as you have paid for. You can cancel the uncompleted portion of the commission at any point. We will work out the installment details together.

Refunds

  • Full refunds are given if no work has been started when you cancel.

  • Partial refunds are only from my end if I am unable to finish the artwork. ( injury, broken equipment, etc.)

  • When you're on a payment plan, I only complete as much work as has been payed for so for. This enables you to cancel the remaining part of the commission process if you're unable to pay the rest. You will receive the commission as-is at the time of cancellation.

Process

  • Provide any Toyhou.se links, drawings, screenshots, mood boards, playlists, and text descriptions you deem important at the start! I like to get to know the character so that I can depict them accurately.

  • I generally work through Krita on a 3300x2550+ pixel canvas at 300ppi. This is a US letter sized page. I export my art as a PNG. If you would like a specific canvas size/dimension, let me know! Larger canvas sizes (above 4000 pixels) will incur a small 5%-15% fee! Anything below 1080 pixels will suffer a low resolution.

  • Tell me BEFORE you pay me if you need the piece done by a certain date! My work flow varies with the season and I may be busy with holidays, faires, or volunteering.

  • I will send several screenshots of the art throughout the process. This will mostly be throughout the Thumbnail stage, at the end of the Lineart/Flat Color stage, and in the beginning of the Render stage. This is when you should give me FEEDBACK.

  • Ask questions and request any revisions you want! Include as much detail as possible. Don't sugar coat anything, feel free to red line my art! I want to deliver something that satisfies you.

ThumbnailsLineart/Flat ColorRender
General composition is laid out.Details concerning character poses, props, and background details are worked out.Expressions and minor details in the character's design are drawn in and lighting is added.

Revisions
You are allowed two free revisions during the thumbnail stage and one during the lineart/flat color stage. None are available without a fee at the render stage.
Any inconsistencies with the reference can be changed for free if mentioned in the thumbnail or lineart/flat color stage.
